Fitchburg, Massachusetts is a small city on the state's northern tier. Like a number of old industrial cities in New England, Fitchburg continues to struggle to reinvent itself. There's not much new in that story. However, Fitchburg may be a city to watch.
The new mayor is 28 years old, the daughter of Chinese immigrants. She brings a new perspective to the city, and it will be interesting to see the new initiatives she launches. Her basic idea: make Fitchburg fun again. Read more.
