The EDPro Weblog backstory

Years ago, EDPro Weblog started as a hobby...Connecting two "new" Internet technologies -- search engines and weblogs. Now, it's become a good way (so I'm told) for economic and workforce development professionals to keep up with new developments.

There's no question that the fields of education, workforce and economic development are undergoing major changes.

 
About me (Ed Morrison)

For the past twenty years or so, I have worked as an economic development consultant with counties, regions and states. In addition to publishing EDPro Weblog, I work with the Purdue Center for Regional Development. I'm excited to be engaged in some of the newest approaches to economic and workforce development.

During the past five or six years, I have been working on Open Source Economic Development (how do we organize and execute complex projects in an open environment?), Open Source Workforce Development (how to we innovate here, as well?) and Strategic Doing (how do we think and act strategically in this new environment?).

In addition to publishing EDPro Weblog, I work with the Purdue Center for Regional Development. Our Center is one of the most exciting places on the planet (if you are into economic and workforce development, that is.) I'm excited to be engaged in some of the newest approaches to economic and workforce development my colleagues are developing.

All of my intellectual property is distributed through a Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution license held by Ed Morrison and  I-Open (the Institute for Open Economic Networks), a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. That means you can freely download this stuff and use it. Just tell people where you got it.
